lifelik (Web and Linux Builds)
This page contains a web build of lifelik. It is recommended to play either the linux or windows builds provided in the downloads section, as the game has not been well optimized for web performance. Some particle effects and animations have been removed, but other than that it is the same experience as the desktop version.
Please rate the game on the submission page for GBJAM13!

Synopsis:
lifelik is a 3D dungeon-crawler RPG that takes place in a world where luck is built in to its structure. In this world, each citizen is reborn after death in an infinite loop. Newliks start unlucky, and have to prove themselves as good citizens to raise their chances of being born into better lives.
This way, everyone is always in their right place.
Features:
Though chance plays a large role, it is possible to spawn as 5 different classes in lifelik. Each class has a unique movement style and gameplay loop. Completing tasks related to the class's role in the world increases your luck stat, which is carried between each life. The luck stat increases chances as spawning as a higher class after dieing.
Classes:
Sluglik: Collect and process waste pellets to clean the sewers
Crablik: Pickup items from the factory to deliver to manliks in the apartments
Goblik: Prune the production line of impurities in the factory
Manlik: Free will
Stronglik: Quell the goblik rebellion
Gobliks, manliks, and strongliks have appendages which give them the ability to enter combat with other citizens. Be warned though - killing lowers your luck, which can have devastating consequences for your future lives.

Amazing game, the first 2.5 levels feels amazing.
It definitely a cool metaphor or theory for real life, we start with incarnating as primitive life forms, then climb our way up. Level 3 was very slow and repetitive
